The Bruised Edge is a personal blog. It’s not intended to be a formal space with any great wisdom, but just an informal place in which I can document my experiments with various hobbies.

I use the word experiments because I read once that one doesn’t have to be good at their hobbies. I like this idea, in part, because I have a lot of hobbies that I’m sure will never rise above the level of simple, fun, learning exercises. But, that’s okay! As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.”

Things you might find on this site: open source software projects, tools and practices; digital media assets (e.g., Blender and/or Godot-related asset files); crocheting, cross-stitching, and silk-screening projects; photographs and maps of my hikes and travels; information about my gardening; and, maybe, some stories about my family and life. I also enjoy poetry, quotes, literature, and movies.
